Denis Demandolx

Engineer Scientist and Manager

Denis Demandolx has extensive experience in software engineering and research, contributing to various prominent companies over the years. Starting as a PhD student at CNRS, Denis developed software tools for statistical analysis in confocal microscopy. Denis later worked as a Software Development Engineer at Silicomp America, enhancing web server capabilities for Hewlett Packard. At Microsoft, Denis held roles as Principal Software Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineer, leading teams responsible for HoloLens technologies and optimizing the image processing engine for Microsoft Photosynth. Currently at Meta, Denis is the Engineer, Scientist, and Manager for the media quality group, pioneering core imaging algorithms and overseeing a team focused on advanced AI and computer vision techniques for products like Ray-Ban Stories. Academically, Denis earned a Master’s Degree from Ecole Centrale de Marseille and a Ph.D. from Aix-Marseille University.
