Derek Isley has extensive experience in talent acquisition and recruiting, having held various leadership roles across several prominent companies. Starting as a Recruiter at Bodog Nation and later transitioning to Rainmaker Entertainment and Electronic Arts, Derek also served as Manager for University Relations and Campus Recruiting at EA Sports. From 2014 to 2016, a succession of positions at Hootsuite included Manager of North America Talent Acquisition and culminated in the role of Senior Director of Global Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand. Since joining Meta in early 2022, Derek has advanced through several key positions, ultimately becoming Global Recruiting Leader for Generative AI & Fundamental AI Research. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture from The University of Calgary.
