Derek Lu has a diverse background that combines experience in both the pharmacy and technology sectors. Serving as a Pharmacy Assistant at Marketplace Pharmacy and a Cello Teacher at Mississauga Piano Studios from September 2014 to August 2016, Derek developed strong interpersonal and organizational skills. In the tech industry, Derek completed internships at BlackBerry and Vizetto Inc in 2021 and 2019, respectively, before progressing to the role of Software Engineer at Meta starting in August 2022. Derek holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering from The University of British Columbia and McMaster University.
