Derek Morris is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at United Therapeutics Corporation since February 2016, Derek leads a team focused on designing and producing transplantable organs, previously held the titles of Associate Director and Project Lead while initiating the Organ Manufacturing Group. Prior to this role, Derek worked as a Technical Assistant at HVF Labs, a venture capital firm co-founded by Max Levchin, and co-founded a startup as CTO while working with an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Lightbank. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University, awarded in 2012.
