Derek Petersen

Derek Petersen is an experienced software development professional with a solid educational background in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University. Starting as a Tutor and Technical Assistant at Iowa State University, Derek progressed to roles at CDS Global and Amazon, where contributions included work on web services projects and support for account services. As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services, Derek helped maintain and improve the Elastic Container Service and later enabled customers to run container workloads at scale as a Senior Software Development Engineer. Currently serving as a Production Engineer at Meta, Derek's prior experience also includes a software development internship with the Kindle marketing team at Amazon.
