Di Chen is an experienced engineering professional with a background in machine learning and software engineering. At Meta, from February 2021 to March 2022, Di Chen served as Engineering Lead for the Commerce Growth Intelligence Notification team, leading initiatives to enhance user acquisition, activation, and retention for Facebook commerce through machine learning applications. Prior to this role, Di Chen successfully initiated and built the first ML-powered notification system for Facebook Marketplace, significantly impacting business outcomes. Currently, as Engineering Manager at Meta since April 2022, Di Chen leads the Facebook Notification Discovery Ranking team, focusing on providing personalized notification experiences for billions of users. Di Chen also gained valuable experience during internships at Google and LexisNexis, where projects included improving Search Ads Quality and delivering machine learning solutions in legal data systems.
