Dinesh Kumar

Dinesh Kumar is a seasoned software engineer and machine learning expert with extensive experience in developing innovative solutions for major technology firms. Currently serving as a Technical Lead at Meta since May 2021, Dinesh Kumar spearheads the creation of advanced models for friend suggestions on Instagram, notably transitioning from a LambdaRank based Value Model to a Multi-Task Multi-Label based Unified Value model. Prior to this role, Dinesh Kumar was a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at PayPal from July 2015 to May 2021, where significant enhancements were made to Buyer abuse detection solutions, achieving a 20% increase in the precision of the abuser model through deep neural networks and NLP techniques.
