Instagram was acquired by Facebook in 2012. Meta has two messaging apps: Messenger and WhatApp. Messenger allows chat, audio and video calls, and Rooms, while WhatsApp is best known as a secure messaging application facilitating private communication. More recently, Meta has moved into the augmented virtual reality space with Reality Labs. Meta Quest lets people defydistance with cutting-edge VR hardware, software, and content.
