Emanuele Maccherani, PhD, has extensive experience in engineering and computer science, with a focus on hardware implementation and software development. Emanuele's career includes roles at distinguished institutions such as Cambridge University, where hardware-based IPSec Transport Mode encryption was implemented, and Columbia University, contributing to the NetServ Project with OpenFlow integration. Emanuele served in various capacities at IBM and its subsidiary Turbonomic, culminating in the position of Director of Engineering. Currently, Emanuele is an Engineering Manager at Meta, building on a strong foundation of academic achievements, including a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Perugia and a visitor PhD student experience at Columbia University.
