Emmanuel Dumont

Emmanuel Dumont is a seasoned machine learning engineer currently employed at Meta since June 2024. Prior to this role, Emmanuel served as an associate professor at Georgetown University from August 2022 to June 2024, with a co-appointment at Hackensack Meridian Health medical school. Emmanuel also held the position of associate professor at the Center for Discovery and Innovation, where significant research on genomic data addressed racial disparities in multiple myeloma, uncovering critical genetic interactions. As the founder of Shade from February 2016 to June 2020, Emmanuel successfully raised $5 million and led a team of 15 in various scientific and engineering capacities. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral role at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute focusing on solar sensor calibration and research scientist work at Nanobiotix in cancer therapy. Earlier in the career, Emmanuel worked as an investment banker at BNP Paribas, specializing in financial modeling for energy infrastructure projects. Emmanuel holds a PhD in biophysics from Columbia University and a master's degree in mathematics and physics from Mines Paris - PSL.
