Eric Abbott

Eric Abbott is a product architect at Meta, leading product design and development for complex multidisciplinary projects. Previously, they held various engineering roles at companies such as Honeywell Aerospace, where they served as an Engineering Fellow, and Microsoft, where they were the lead system architect for HoloLens. Eric's career began as a design engineer at Virtual Technologies, followed by senior engineering positions at AlliedSignal and Transparent Networks, Inc. They earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, along with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating with highest honors.
