Eric Buxkemper is an experienced game services engineer with a focus on online features and backend architecture. At Rainbow Studios, Eric architected a microservices stack for matchmaking and player accounts while integrating with various gaming SDKs. Following this, as a multiplayer engineer at Square + Compass Games, Eric integrated Steamworks SDK into an Unreal Engine 5 game, implementing comprehensive online features. Previous experience includes roles as a software engineer intern at Triseum, where Eric developed a 3D data visualizer, and a software engineer who integrated major platform SDKs in various games. Eric also served as a DevOps software engineer at Viasat Inc. Eric is currently a scripting technical artist at Meta, focusing on creating Virtual Reality experiences for Horizon Worlds. Eric holds a degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
