Ermal Luci

Ermal Luci is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software development and information security. Currently serving as a Tech Lead at Meta since November 2021, Ermal has contributed to the FreeBSD Project as a Community Software Developer since 2008, focusing on the network stack and tooling. Previous roles include Associate Director at Wayfair, Principal Software Engineer at Oracle, and Security/Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services, where solutions for cloud networking were developed. Ermal co-founded OpenTech Consulting & Services, acting as CTO to establish its product portfolio, and served as Chief Information Security Officer at Aleat, implementing ISO 27001 compliance with notable operational efficiencies. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of Tirana and various certifications in information security management.
