Evan Welch has a diverse background in machine learning, data science, and trading. Beginning as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Princeton University in 2010, Evan developed MATLAB software for seismic analysis. After several roles in trading, including positions as an Interest Rates Trader at Citadel LLC and an Assistant Trader at Susquehanna International Group, Evan transitioned to technology, holding significant positions such as Senior Data Scientist at Capital One and Manager, Machine Learning Engineer at Zillow. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Meta, Evan has a strong focus on building ML-powered systems, exemplified by contributions to recommendation engines at Convoy Inc. Educationally, Evan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from Princeton University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia Engineering.
