Fang Chen

Fang Chen, PhD, has extensive experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and optimization across various prominent companies. Fang Chen began with an internship at Bosch North America, focusing on optimization models, before advancing to positions such as Optimization and Control Engineer at Bosch, where developments in demand forecasting and energy applications were integral. At NIO, Fang Chen served as a Senior AI Scientist, enhancing user experience through machine learning and optimization, and later led machine learning initiatives at Cisco as a Tech Lead. Currently, Fang Chen works as an Applied Research Scientist at Meta, specializing in search and feed ranking, natural language processing, and personalization. Educational credentials include a PhD in Operations Research from Lehigh University, a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Science in Transportation and Highway Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology.
