Fei Chen

Fei Chen is an experienced optical engineer with a strong background in laser and optical technologies. With a career that includes significant roles at Microsoft as Principal Optical Engineer leading the display engine development for Hololens, and as Lead Optical Design Engineer at Meta, Fei has demonstrated expertise in optical system engineering and design. Previous positions also include Optical Engineer at Lexmark, where Fei successfully developed four generations of light engines for multifunctional laser printers, and Laser & Optical Engineer at ESI, focusing on laser micro machining systems. Fei's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, an MS in Laser and Optical Engineering from Tsinghua University, and a BS in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
