Francois Hogan

Francois Hogan is an experienced researcher and engineer in robotics and artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Research Scientist at Meta since July 2024. Previous roles include Senior AI Researcher at Samsung Electronics from January 2020 to September 2024 and Mechanical Engineer at CM Labs Simulations Inc. in 2015. As an AI Intern at Kindred.ai in 2018, contributions included the development of Reinforcement Learning algorithms and the design of robots for benchmarking purposes. Francois holds a PhD in Robotics, Controls, and Machine Learning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University. Additionally, Francois was a Visiting Scholar in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan in 2014.
