Frank Yu

Frank Yu is a skilled researcher and engineer with a strong background in computer science and electrical engineering. Currently serving as a Research Engineer at Meta, Frank previously contributed to Google's Project Starline as a Student Researcher and Research Intern. Experience includes a Teaching Assistant role at The University of British Columbia, leading tutorials in machine learning, and serving as a Research Assistant under Helge Rhodin, focusing on human 3D pose estimation with noteworthy results leading to a first author publication at CVPR 2021. Additional expertise includes a solid foundation in programming, having developed control schemes and algorithms during time at the Manitoba HVDC Research Centre and the University of Manitoba, where Frank worked on projects involving fuzzy logic and anomaly detection using GANs. Frank holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
