Franklin Yao is an experienced software and machine learning engineer with a strong background in developing innovative solutions and managing projects across multiple domains. At Workstream, Franklin developed a high-accuracy resume parsing tool utilizing BERT-based models and deployed it as a micro-service. Previous experience includes designing an image processing pipeline at MicroPattern and leading a 10-engineer team as CTO at Baijinglianchuang Ltd., as well as serving as Software Engineer at Confluent, where Franklin improved an internal tool's core component. Currently, Franklin is contributing to generative AI at Meta, focusing on developing chatbots and agents. Franklin holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University, awarded in 2019.
