Gabriel Schell

Gabriel Schell has garnered diverse experience in the field of computer science, primarily focusing on human-computer interaction, cryptography, and software engineering. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the UNC Department of Computer Science, Schell contributed to a Human-Computer Interaction Lab project utilizing machine learning to support real-time identification of struggling students and worked on enhancing security in end-to-end encrypted messaging systems within a Cryptography Lab. Additionally, Schell served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Cryptography (COMP 537). Gabriel gained practical software engineering experience as an intern at Meta, focusing on computer networking and security, and previously at Walmart Global Tech, where efforts were directed towards designing a backend driver payment processing system.
