Garrett Simard

Garrett Simard is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and engineering, currently working at Meta since November 2025. Previously, Garrett served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Muon Space and Amazon, where responsibilities included new product development for government and commercial contracts and leading a team in mechanical avionics hardware design. Garrett's past roles at SpaceX encompassed leading mechanical engineer projects on phased arrays and antennas, as well as developing design architectures for optical and RF systems. Early career experiences include significant contributions to the University of Michigan Solar Car Team and an internship at SpaceX, where key design systems for the Dragon V2 space capsule were developed. Garrett holds a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
