Gedaliah Friedenberg

Gedaliah Friedenberg is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience across multiple high-profile organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Meta since July 2018, Friedenberg drives innovation in products, engineering infrastructure, and open-source initiatives while leading company-wide diversity and leadership programs. Prior experience includes roles as Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where responsibilities included overseeing global technical change and software quality engineering, and as Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where impactful programs for 9,000 engineers were designed and implemented. Additionally, Friedenberg founded and built a successful software engineering startup, The GN Group, prior to its sale. Educational credentials include an MBA in Finance from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.
