Gemma Silvers is an accomplished Engineering Director with extensive experience in leading large engineering teams across major technology companies. Currently at Meta since December 2020, Gemma manages over 400 engineers. Previously, Gemma served in various roles at Facebook, developing distributed systems infrastructure and supporting engineering teams for online abuse detection and app development. Prior experience includes leading software development at Amazon for Prime Video, driving shared technology at Playfish (part of Electronic Arts), and software engineering roles at Sun Microsystems. Gemma holds a First Class BSc Hons in Computer Science from Kingston University.
