Ginger Li is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in camera algorithms and image processing. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Meta since May 2021, Ginger focuses on developing AR/VR device camera algorithm features to enhance image quality and user experience. Previously, at Apple from July 2013 to May 2021, Ginger held the position of Senior Research Engineer, where responsibilities included developing computer vision and machine learning algorithms for iPhone cameras. Earlier experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at GE Global Research from December 2010 to May 2013, involving algorithm and software development for medical image analyses, and an R&D Intern position at Dolby Canada in 2007, recognized with an Award of Excellence for contributions to HDR display technology. Ginger holds a PhD in Medical Image Processing from Virginia Tech and an MSc in Computer Graphics & Computer Vision from Simon Fraser University.
