Haidong Wang

Haidong Wang is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and software development. Currently serving as Engineering Leader at Meta since June 2024, Haidong leads AI runtime engineering teams responsible for the technology behind next-gen smart wearables. Previously, Haidong held the role of VP of Engineering, AI/ML at BrightAI, focusing on the technical vision for AI/ML initiatives. Additionally, Haidong has significant experience at Meta in various roles, including Engineering Manager and Tech Lead, where contributions were made to digital assistant platforms and knowledge graph infrastructure. Early career experiences include positions at Ozlo Inc., Google, and Microsoft, where relevant projects spanned digital assistants, search relevance, and large-scale distributed systems. Haidong holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Beijing University of Technology.
