Hanxiao Wang

Hanxiao Wang is a highly accomplished research professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Since April 2022, Hanxiao served as a Senior Research Scientist at Onfido, focusing on AI fairness, face recognition, fraud detection, and debiasing. Previously, Hanxiao held a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Boston University, specializing in few/zero-shot learning and domain adaptation. In early 2024, Hanxiao transitioned to a Staff Applied Scientist role at Tractable, working on generative AI and large vision-language models, while also serving as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Surrey on multi-modal machine learning. Hanxiao's academic background includes a PhD from Queen Mary University of London, where research concentrated on advanced learning methodologies. Subsequently, Hanxiao began a role as Research Engineer at Meta in September 2024.
