Hao Ma is an accomplished AI leader with extensive experience in generative AI, large language models, and e-commerce innovation. Currently serving as Director of Meta AI, GenAI at Meta since May 2023, Hao Ma leads initiatives to develop cutting-edge AI technologies and establish Meta as a premier intelligent assistant. Previously, as VP of AI and Data Science at Flip, responsibilities included building AI solutions for personalized shopping experiences. Hao Ma's prior roles at Meta included overseeing substantial teams focused on advancing recommender systems and AI technologies for Facebook and Instagram. Additionally, Hao Ma contributed to Microsoft Research as a Principal Researcher, enhancing search experience through recommendation and NLP techniques. Hao Ma holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
