Hu Xu

Hu Xu is an accomplished research scientist with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and deep learning. With a Master's degree in Microelectronics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Hu Xu has held positions at several notable organizations. As a Research Intern at WeChat Global Team, Hu Xu contributed to chatbot research using deep learning models. At Amazon Web Services, Hu Xu interned with the AI Lex Science Team under Prof. Katrin Kirchhoff. A further internship at Facebook AI focused on conversational AI. Currently, as a Research Scientist at Meta, Hu Xu leads foundational data research and has pioneered the MetaCLIP project, which has been integrated into various AI applications, including DINO and Llama 3.
