Hungchih Lai

Hungchih Lai is an experienced digital design engineer with a robust background in hardware design and development across several prestigious technology companies, including Etron Technology, Intel Corporation, Qualcomm, Amazon Lab126, and Meta. At Etron Technology, Hungchih Lai led a team in the creation of mobile LCD controller chips and systems, enhancing displays from chip to system level. At Qualcomm, leadership roles included managing a team focused on transmitter/receiver front ends and developing efficient firmware solutions. Contributions at Intel involved integrating advanced IPs into 5G modems, securing project completions ahead of schedule. Currently, Hungchih Lai is engaged as a Virtual Reality Hardware Engineer at Meta, following significant work on micro-architecture design at Amazon Lab126. Academic credentials include dual master’s degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and National Chiao Tung University in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Electrical and Control Engineering.
