Ian Gartley

Ian Gartley is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various roles within the technology sector. Currently employed at Meta as a Software Engineer since January 2025, Gartley previously served as a Principal Engineer at Varo Bank from March 2023 to December 2024 and held multiple software engineering positions at Meta from January 2022 to March 2023. Earlier in the career, Gartley worked as a Digital Architect at RBC from February 2018 to January 2022 and as Director of Cloud Technologies and Software Engineer at Vena Solutions from January 2015 to January 2018. The career began at IBM in August 2007 as a Software Developer focused on the Java Just-In-Time Compiler, contributing to software architecture, defect resolution, and cross-department coordination while filing patents and delivering presentations.
