Ian McLain

Ian McLain has a diverse professional background with experience in both technical sales and mechanical engineering. From June 2019 to September 2021, Ian worked as a Technical Sales Consultant at Designed Performance Associates, Inc. Prior to that, Ian served in the US Navy from August 2011 to August 2017 as a Nuclear Machinist Mate aboard the USS Carl Vinson, where qualifications included operating and supervising a nuclear reactor. Ian briefly worked as a Microgrid Mechanical Technician at Enchanted Rock in late 2021, maintaining microgrid power generator stations. In 2024, Ian held the positions of Interim Mechanical Subject Matter Expert and Critical Facility Engineer at Meta. Additionally, from September 2018 to May 2019, Ian was a Supplemental Instruction Leader at Tarrant County College. Education includes completion of the Naval Nuclear Power Program from 2011 to 2013, specializing in Nuclear.
