Insoo Chung

Insoo Chung is an experienced machine learning engineer with a strong background in developing innovative solutions for on-device applications. At Meta, Insoo Chung leads the research and development of fine-tuned language learning models (LLMs) that enhance targeted ad creation, resulting in significant increases in engagement for the company's advertising products. Previously, Insoo Chung contributed to Qualcomm by developing a standardized evaluation suite for optimized on-device LLMs and interned at Apple, where an on-device performance benchmarking tool for Siri was created. Earlier experience includes a role at Samsung Electronics, where Insoo Chung led the development of sub-3bit language models, achieving notable improvements in latency and memory efficiency. Insoo Chung holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Yonsei University and a Master of Computer Science from Texas A&M University, graduating with a perfect GPA.
