Iris Kalka

Iris Kalka, Ph.D., has extensive experience in machine learning and computational biology, with a strong academic background including a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Computational Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Notable professional roles include serving as a Data Science for Social Good Fellow at the University of Chicago, where Iris contributed to a high-impact project focused on mental health outreach, and as a Machine Learning Engineer at Facebook, where Iris worked on enhancing Novi’s digital wallet framework. Additional experience includes a position as a Computational Biologist, implementing ETL pipelines for RNASeq data at the Weizmann Institute, and a Machine Learning Scientist role at Booking.com, where Iris researched batch active-learning for tabular data.
