Jack Xie has extensive experience in software engineering and project management, with a career spanning over two decades. Early in the career, Xie worked at Tencent as a Software Engineer, focusing on TCP/IP protocols from April 2003 to March 2005. Xie then joined Facebook in July 2007, where responsibilities included software engineering and project management roles until June 2008. At Facebook, Xie led a team of 25 in software backend maintenance and improved tools for Meta's global operations. Since November 2021, Xie has been a Project Manager at Meta, overseeing technical project management efforts to realize the company's vision for the metaverse. Xie holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
