Jacob Wasserman

Software Engineer

Jacob Wasserman has an extensive background in software engineering and technical development, with a career spanning various roles and companies. At MIT Lincoln Laboratory from 2003 to 2012, Jacob served as Associate Technical Staff, contributing to the Air and Missile Defense Division by designing automated algorithms for missile defense applications. After co-founding Mapkin, a GPS navigation app, in 2012 and serving as CTO until its acquisition by MapQuest in 2016, Jacob led the development of mobile navigation SDKs as Principal Engineer at MapQuest from 2016 to 2017. Currently, Jacob is employed as a Software Engineer at Meta, starting in April 2018. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Boston University, graduated in 2003.
