Jam Jenkins

Jam Jenkins has a diverse professional background, encompassing roles in both education and technology. Currently serving as a Sewing Instructor at That's Sew Austin since March 2025, Jam specializes in menswear design, teaching techniques from basic sewing to advanced pattern matching. Prior experience includes an Engineering Manager position at Meta, overseeing a team that develops financial workflow tools managing billions in payments annually. Previous roles also encompass software development at Amazon and Facebook, where Jam contributed to social media tools and developer infrastructure projects. Academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Georgia Gwinnett College and Valdosta State University, as well as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Western Carolina University. Jam holds a Master's Degree in Operations Research from The University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Duke University.
