James Rhilinger is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in competition and regulatory law. Rhilinger began a legal career at Collier, Shannon, Rill & Scott from 1997 to 2000, followed by a tenure at the Federal Trade Commission from 2004 to 2014, holding positions as an attorney in the Health Care Division and as Deputy Assistant Director of the Mergers II Division. After working at Fried Frank as an attorney from 2000 to 2004, Rhilinger joined Meta in January 2021, initially as Associate General Counsel for Competition and Regulatory, later advancing to Director and Associate General Counsel in August 2022. Rhilinger holds a J.D. magna cum laude from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and a B.S. in Finance from Bryant University.
