Jan Risse is a software engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, acquired between 2015 and 2018. Experience includes a Software Engineer Intern role at Arista Networks where Jan developed a design specification to enhance code coverage tools, drastically improving their efficiency. As a Student IT Assistant at Ivan Allen College, Jan addressed technical support issues and assisted faculty with software installations. At Amazon Web Services, Jan progressed from a Software Development Engineer Intern to a Software Development Engineer and ultimately to Software Development Engineer 2, contributing to the development and maintenance of a multi-regional data store handling over 40PB of data and approximately 20 million transactions per minute. Currently, Jan holds roles as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Meta, starting in July 2024.
