Jeff Moorse

Jeff Moorse has extensive experience in network engineering and administration, beginning as a Helpdesk professional at the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education from 2002 to 2005. Moorse served as a Network Specialist at the U.S. Department of State, where support was provided for over 400 nodes on a secure domain. At UCSB from 2005 to 2007, Moorse enhanced web services by transitioning from unverified HTML to a dynamic content system compliant with W3C standards and built a database server managing sensitive HIPAA data. As a Sr. Network Engineer at FTI Services from 2007 to 2010, responsibilities included optimizing LAN/WAN/WLAN architecture. Moorse then progressed to Google, serving as a Network Engineer and later as Head of Network Reliability Engineering for Google Fiber, overseeing the maintenance and automation of network infrastructure. Currently, Moorse holds a position as Strategic Lead at Meta since March 2025.
