Jerry Jia is a highly experienced professional in optical engineering and materials science, holding a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Columbia University and dual degrees in Physics and Philosophy from Peking University. Career highlights include serving as a Senior Scientist at Nano Terra, Inc. from 2010 to 2013, co-founding Chromation where the world’s smallest optical spectrometer was developed in 2010, and working as Tech Lead for Optical Sensing at Apple from 2013 to 2017, where the True Tone Display was invented and launched.
