Jess Chen, PhD, has a robust background in cognitive neuroscience with extensive experience in research and user experience. As a Graduate Researcher at the University of Toronto from September 2011 to December 2017, Jess led numerous research projects encompassing all key aspects, from literature reviews to data analysis, while applying a variety of neuroimaging and statistical techniques. This effort resulted in the presentation of research findings at over 20 conferences and the publication of six first-author articles in reputable journals. Following this, Jess worked as a Research Scientist at Multi-Health Systems Inc. from November 2017 to July 2018, focusing on psychological assessment product development. From August 2018 to September 2019, Jess served as a Senior Research Consultant at Rogers Communications, utilizing data analytics to enhance employee engagement across a large workforce. Currently, Jess holds the position of Staff UX Researcher at Meta, leading research initiatives focused on optimizing ad delivery and quality on Instagram. Jess holds both a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Toronto.
