Jie Liu

Jie Liu is an experienced research engineer currently working at Meta, optimizing machine learning model training pipelines on extensive AI training clusters. Prior to this, Jie Liu held research and software engineering internships at Futurewei Technologies, MemVerge, and Argonne National Laboratory, focusing on deep learning model estimation, performance analysis of large language models, and addressing I/O bottlenecks in large-scale deep learning training. Jie Liu earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Northwestern Polytechnical University, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Xi'an Jiaotong University, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Merced.
