Jihye Moon

Research Scientist

Jihye Moon is an accomplished AI researcher with a strong focus on speech processing, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing (NLP). Experience includes roles at the Active Disturbance Rejection Control Research Center, where a neuromotor pathological voice detection software was developed, and as a research intern at The University of Texas at Dallas, investigating acoustic features for monitoring amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Jihye has contributed to significant projects as an AI researcher at the University of Connecticut, leading efforts to develop innovative speech AI systems for detecting sleepiness and cognitive performance, and has experience at Meta as a research scientist. Additionally, exposure to image signal processing was gained through an internship at GIST, complemented by prior work at ETRI, where advancements in automatic speech recognition and multilingual speech translation were achieved. Jihye holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology, Korea, along with a Master's exchange experience at KAIST.
