Jinyi Yao is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in engineering leadership and machine learning. Beginning with a role as Senior Dev Lead at Microsoft from May 2005 to February 2013, Jinyi focused on web page structure and Bing Local Relevance. Subsequently, a tenure as Senior Engineering Manager at Facebook from February 2013 to September 2019 involved significant contributions to machine learning and recommendation systems, driving initiatives to support small and medium-sized businesses within the Facebook ecosystem. Currently, Jinyi serves as Director of Engineering at Meta since June 2020. Prior experience also includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at 脉脉 from September 2019 to June 2020 and as an AR at Singapore Polytechnic early in 2004. Jinyi holds both a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering from Tsinghua University.
