João Monteiro has a diverse background in computer science and data science, with a PhD obtained from UCL between May 2013 and August 2017. Experience includes roles as a Visitor Student at Massachusetts General Hospital in July 2010, an Erasmus Student at Eindhoven University of Technology in April 2011, and a Visitor MSc Student at Forschungszentrum Jülich from October 2011 to July 2012. João served as a Senior Researcher at Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe from November 2017 to January 2019, followed by a position as a Data Scientist at Rotageek from January 2019 to April 2020. Since April 2020, João has been working as a Data Scientist at HENI and transitioned to a Machine Learning Engineer role at Meta in November 2024.
