Joel Frank

Joel Frank is a software engineer at Meta since November 2022, with prior experience as a PhD candidate at Ruhr-Universität Bochum from September 2018 to September 2022, where research focused on adversarial attacks on Bayesian neural networks and the implementation of various attack methods. Previously, Joel held positions as a graduate research assistant at Technische Universität Darmstadt, contributing to the Perun project aimed at improving blockchain scalability, and at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, where applications for network intrusion detection and compromise indicators were designed. An internship was completed at Arvato Supply Chain Solutions in 2015. Joel holds a Master of Science in IT-Security and a Bachelor of Science in IT-Security, both from Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
