Joel Jacobs is an experienced design professional with a strong background in product design and engineering. At Microsoft, from April 2008 to May 2017, Joel served as Principal Product Designer, leading the Product Design practice in the Industrial Design Studio and contributing to notable projects such as the Xbox consoles and HoloLens. Since June 2017, Joel has held the position of Industrial Design Architect at both Meta and Oculus VR, focusing on innovative hardware solutions for AR and VR. Prior to these roles, Joel was a Sr. Engineering Manager at Cranium and a Product Designer at LUNAR Design, where a broad range of design responsibilities and leadership experiences were developed.
