John Branscome

Director Public Policy

John Branscome is an experienced legal and public policy professional with a notable background in telecommunications and commerce. From April 2010 to September 2021, John served as Chief Counsel and Senior Counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. Currently, John is the Director of Public Policy at Meta, a position held since October 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Counsel for U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar from July 2008 to August 2009 and as Chief of the Spectrum and Competition Policy Division and Deputy Chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission from January 2006 to October 2009. John holds a law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a degree from Virginia Tech.
