John Vining

John Vining is an experienced software engineer currently working at Meta in the Privacy Infrastructure team since March 2022. Prior to this role, John held multiple positions at Epic from 2018 to 2020, including software engineer, quality assurance, and software engineering manager, contributing to software used in hospitals and clinics. Earlier experience includes roles as a publishing assistant and website administrator at Congressional Digest, a mathematics assistant at St. John's College, and a manuscripts intern at Huntington Library. John co-created and edited content for MORA / mora.fm from 2004 to 2010. John holds a Professional Capstone Certificate in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.A. in Philosophy with a focus on the History of Math and Science from St. John's College.
