Joy Chugh

Joy Chugh is a highly experienced software and machine learning engineer with a strong background in backend engineering and personalization technology. At Spotify, Joy held multiple roles including Senior Software Engineer where responsibilities included building scalable services for personalized playlists, and later as a Machine Learning Engineer to enhance subscription rates through deep learning models. Joy continued to excel in software engineering at AOL Platforms and Millennial Media, focusing on user targeting and real-time processing systems. Currently at Meta, Joy leads fraud and scam detection across major platforms, applying technical leadership to deploy multimodal ML systems that significantly reduce harmful content prevalence. Joy holds a BCA in Computer Application from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and an MS in Information Technology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
